Who I am and what I optimise for.

I’m Himanshu Agarwal, a founding engineer based in Bengaluru, India. I gravitate toward ambiguous product problems where speed matters, polish matters, and there is no clean handoff between frontend, backend, mobile, infra, and AI work.

I got into engineering because building software compressed the path from idea to outcome. The first time I realised I could design an experience, wire the logic, ship it, and watch people actually use it, I stopped thinking in terms of isolated features and started thinking in systems. That mindset pushed me toward end-to-end ownership early.

Technically, I care about product architecture that stays legible under pressure. I like stacks that let one engineer move quickly without turning the codebase into a liability: TypeScript across the surface area, clear boundaries between UI and workflows, boring infrastructure where possible, and selective use of AI where it genuinely removes operational drag.

The kind of engineering work I care most about sits close to product outcomes. I like building in environments where technical decisions stay tied to user value, execution stays pragmatic, and ownership extends across the full surface area of the product rather than stopping at a single layer.
